Research and Professional Interests
Edward (Ned) D. Breslin first started working in the water and sanitation sector in northern Kenya in 1987. Ned is a field practitioner who has worked for a range of international and local water and sanitation NGOs in southern Africa. Among other positions, he was WaterAid’s Country Representative in Mozambique from 1999-2006 and in senior leadership at the Mvula Trust with responsibility for monitoring, sustainability and health/hygiene. He joined Water For People in 2006 as the Director of International Programs and has helped the organization transform and expand its work to 11 countries worldwide. He became CEO in 2009.
Mr. Breslin attended a high level conference organized by the Global Water Program at the Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Center on Accelerating sustainable, people-centered integrated water services for the poor, August 29 through September 2, 2011. Follow him @NedBreslin.
